David Samuel Stiba, 46, of Taylor passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2003. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 PM at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services are 10 AM, Thursday at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hejl officiating. Burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery. David S. Stiba was born September 11, 1956 to Ernest and Dorothy (Miller) Stiba in Taylor, Texas. After graduating from Taylor High School, David played baseball for Southwestern University in Georgetown on scholarship. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. David loved animals, he enjoyed going fishing and bird hunting. He also loved his nieces and nephews very much. He was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church. David is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Stiba. Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Marshall, Lange Spence, Eric Stiba, Ryan Stiba, Blake Spence and Rick Bubenik. Survivors include his parents, Dorothy and Ernest Stiba, Sr. of Taylor; one brother, Ernest Stiba and wife, Beverly of Waco; one sister, Debbie Spence and husband, Lange of Salado; one sister-in-law, Shary Stiba of Taylor; five nieces and nephews, Eric and Elissa Stiba of Waco, Ryan and Randa Stiba of Taylor, and Blake Spence of Salado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Taylor Brethren Church, P.O.
