Mother of Ellanor Jeanne Howard buried Chippiannock cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Dispatch - Friday - March 2, 1973 Mrs. Nilda Howard Waack, 86, of 905 4th St., Hampton, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday night in the Franciscan Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Wheelan Funeral Home. The Rev. C. Dale Edwards, pastor of Bethel Assembly of God, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park, Rock Island, Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday. Nida Beliel was born in Valley County, Neb. She was married to Harry H. Howard, March 31, 1905, in Ord, Neb. He preceded her in death in 1939. She later married William Waack, June 30, 1940, in Bettendorf. He preceded her in death in 1952. Mrs. Waack was a charter member of Bethel Assembly of God, a former Sunday school teacher at the church and active in missionary work. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Eastman of East Moline, and Mrs. Terry Trone, Andalusia; two sons, Donald D. Howard, Port Byron, and Dick N. Howard, Hampton; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, five brothers and four sisters.
