Troy Lee Cox June 16, 1930-March 5, 2006 Troy Lee Cox, 75, of Clarkesville died Sunday at his residence following a sudden illness. Born in Lufkin, Texas, he was the son of the late Elige and Bertha Bowen Cox. He was retired from Delta Airlines, where he was a material planner. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Deen Hamilton. Survivors include his wife, Lois Helsel Cox, Clarkesville; daughters, Danita Gaudette, Lilburn, and Charmaine Garner, Galveston, Texas; son, Stephen Cox, Rowlett, Texas; sister, Artie Taylor, Fort Worth, Texas; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Hillside Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Chuck Taylor and Dr. Doug McIntosh will officiate. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity, P.O.
