Memorial services for Lois Helsel Cox, age 77 of Clarkesville will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Bethlehem Baptist Church. The service will include a time for those who would like to share favorite memories about how Lois affected their life. Mrs. Cox passed away January 11, 2015. Born on August 19, 1937 in Edgemont, South Dakota, Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Mason and Estella Hayes Helsel. Mrs. Cox was a retired image consultant and during her retirement she worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite-Aid in Clarkesville. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband Troy Lee Cox, step son Stephen Cox, and step daughter Joy Cox Hamilton. Survivors include daughter Danita Gaudette of Clarkesville, step daughter Charmaine Garner of Texas, daughter in law Cecelia Cox of Rowlett, Texas, sister Phyllis Mudge of Rapid City, South Dakota, brothers Richard Helsel of Uvalde, Texas and Edwin Helsel of Las Cruces, New Mexico, grandchildren Marisa LaBrec (Jeff) of Alto, David and Sherrie Garner of Galveston, Texas, Julie Garner of Galveston, Texas, Matthew Cox and Shane Cox both of Rowlett Texas.
