Bio

Rosenberg Herald, April 6, 1958: High Mass was offered at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, near Brenham, for Mrs. Rosa Kopycinski, 96, who passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W.B. Joswiak, in Brenham on Monday. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery, with her sons as active pallbearers. Many of her descendants live in Fort Bend County, it being revealed at her death that she had over 200, including 13 living children, 79 grandchildren, 136 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, preceded her in death several years ago. She was a native of Poland, coming to America at age of six. The nine surviving sons and four daughters include Stanley of Wallis, Henry, Walter, and Frank, all of Rosenberg.
