Herald Coaster, April 23, 1964: Funeral services for Henry Kopycinski, 71, were held from the Triska Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg at 8:30 a.m., April 18, followed by Requiem Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond at 9 a.m., with Rev. Thomas Prendergrast officiating. Mr. Kopycinski was born in Brenham on November 18, 1892. On October 15, 1912, he married Miss Rosie Andrzejczak in Chappell Hill. He moved to Richmond in 1919 and was engaged in farming. For the past 20 years, he was employed by the Albert George Estate as farm foreman. He was a member of the Rosenberg Knights of Columbus Council 2801. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rosie Kopycinski of Richmond; five sons, Edwin and John of Richmond, Eric of Lake Jackson, Joe of Dallas, and Henry Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Stanton Marsh and Mrs. Harvey Hurta of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Dekowski of Granger, Mrs. Mary Joswiak of Copeland, Mrs. Cecelia Joswiak of Brenham, and Mrs. Helen Dekowski of Houston; seven brothers, Frank of Rosenberg, Walter of Richmond, Stanley of Wallis, Bruno of Lufkin, Joe of Chappell Hill, Steve of League City, and Tony of Brenham. Knights of Columbus pallbearers were Max Cegelski, Pete Mahlczek, A.C. Wendel, John Koteras, Frank Krolczyk Jr., and Mike Krolczyk. Honorary pallbearers were William Covell Sr., C.L. Dutton, Dr. J.F. Svajda, Edward Kopycinski, Walter Minkwitz, Leo Leinke, Ervin Muegge, Walter Gless, Clark Berry, and Charlie White. Interment in the East Garden of Gethsemane.
