Billy "Bill" Garrett, 83, of Lubbock passed away Sunday August 17, 2014 at his home. The family will receive friends for a visitation this evening from 5 until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 10:00 am in Resthaven Funeral Home's Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Bill was born on August 28, 1930 in Greenville, Texas to the late Bert and Dollye (Bare) Garrett. He married the love of his life Betty Loven on March 31, 1950. He was a member of Community of Christ Church. He worked in Construction doing interior wood work. He had a great talent working with wood. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Betty; son Billy Don Garrett of Glenview, Illinois; a daughter Gala Rogers of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
