Mary Ann Zeissel, 100, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at her residence in Rhineland, Texas. Rosary was at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCauley-Srnith Funeral Home. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Rhineland, Texas with Father Charles Gorantla officiating. Burial took place in the Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rhineland, Texas under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas. Mrs. Zeissel was born November 23, 1908 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to Rhineland in 1919. She married John Walter Zeissel January 13, 1927 in Rhineland, Texas. Mr. Zeissel preceded her in death March 6, 1973. Mary was a homemaker and member of the Christian Mothers Society and Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors: One Son: Marvin Zeissel of Rhineland, Texas; One Sister: Lillie Hipps of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Vernal Zeissel.
