The Salt Lake Tribune November 30, 1996 page 7 Arabella Bird James, 89, died November 26, 1996 of natural causes at her son's home in Annapolis, Maryland. Born September 29, 1907 to Walter F. Bird and Lucinda Childs Bird in Springville, Utah. She married Archie R. James, July 27, 1925 in Preston, Idaho. They were longtime residents of Midvale, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church. Preceded in death by her husband; a stepmother, Christina Ash Bird; seven brothers; three sisters; and daughter-in-law, Joan Lillie James. Survived by a son, Robert L. James; a grandson, Mark O. James; two granddaughters, Janet L. Grey and Jeri L. Pierce; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen Hilquist, Camarillo, California; Nell Barton, Springville, Utah; and Elaine Jack, Portland, Oregon. Private services for the family Monday, December 2nd, 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State. Grave dedication and interment, Tuesday 1 p.m. Midvale City Cemetery.
