Buda Plain Dealer, Thurs., 16 Jan 1947 "WAREEN ZINK, LIFETIME RESIDENT DIES JANUARY 9 Warren Zink, lifetime resident of Buda, died January 9, in the Public Hospital in Kewanee. Memorial services were held Saturday afternooon January 11, at the Taylor Funeral Home, with Rev. R. A. Reeves, pastor of the Buda Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Hopeland cemetery. Warren Armour Zink was born to George and Catherine Thompson Zink April 9, 1870, on the old homestead east of Buda. He was one of seven children, only one of whom, Mrs. Mary Stutzman, survives. His twin brother, Oren A. Zink died in 1933. He was married March 17, 1899, to Clara G. Spratt of Sheffield and they started farming on a nearby farm. One child, Myrtle Zink, died in infancy.; Following the death of his wife, he came to Buda to make his home. Those from a distance attending the services were a niece, Mrs. Robert French of St. Paul., Minn., Mrs. Anna Hand, Chicago, Mrs. Andrew Peterson,and daughter Ruth, and Mrs. James Spratt, Sheffield, and Wm. B. Carper, Hackensack, Minn.
