MARY STUTZMAN DIES SERVICES HELD SATURDAY Mrs. Mary Stutzman, 93, well-known pioneer resident died Thursday afternoon, July 22, in a hospital in Moline. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Stutzman residence in Buda. Rev. C. W. Baughman, pastor of the Buda Congregational church officiated. Burial was in Hopeland Cemetery. Mary Katherine Zink, daughter of George and Katherine Thompson Zink, was born east of Buda November 29, 1854. She attended Buda grade schools and graduated from high school here. She taught school for a few years. On January 29, 1879 she was married to William H. Stutzman who preceded her in death in 1920. A son, Loring C. Stutzman died last March. Survivors are a grandson, W. Coe Stutzman of Desplains, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Adah S. Stutzman; three nieces and a nephew, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Zink, 94; and a cousin, George Stinson, 95, all of Buda. Wilsie West, another cousin, lives in Kewanee. Mrs. Stutzman was a member of the Buda Methodist Church and a charter member of the Buda Womens Club. She was the last member of the George Zink family.
