Bio

ORPHA N. BOWEN Mrs. Orpha N. Bowen, 72, 733 Mynster St., died Thursday at a local hospital following a long illness. She was born at Sidney and moved to Council Bluffs from Glenwood 27 years ago. She was the widow of Jesse Bowen who died in 1926. Survivors include: son, Gene of Council Bluffs; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Young of Council Bluffs, Miss Ellen Bowen and Mrs. Laura Williams, both of Inglewood, Calif; a brother, N.J. Pickerill of Lincoln, Neb. and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday at the Woodring Chapel. The Rev. Robert C. Bowman of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
