Bio

Herald Coaster, March 22, 1976: Funeral services for Mrs. Sophie Wruck, 81, of Damon, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First English Lutheran Church in Damon, with Rev. Gerald Westerbuhr and Rev. R.J. Weber officiating. She had been a resident of the Damon area since 1915. She died Thursday in Needville. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Martha Fleming of Damon, Mrs. Marion King of Dickinson, and Mrs. Annette Shelton of Temple; sons, Merle, Gerhardt, and Harvey of Damon; sister, Rosa Oliver of California; brother, Sam Besler of Oregon; and 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany and Co. in Rosenberg.
