Bio

Henry J. Watry, 65, of 1903 N. 9th St., died at St. Nicholas Hospital this morning following a lengthy illness. Born in the Town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, on Oct. 11, 1903, a son of the late Dominic and Anna Watry, he was married on Jan. 30, 1944. His wife, Amelia, died in 1966. For 25 years he was employed as an engineer on the Reiss Steamship Lines, and from 1944 until October, 1968, when he retired, he was employed by the R-way Furniture Co. Survivors are five brothers, John of Milwaukee, Adolph and Victor of Chilton, Isadore of St. Anna, and Ado of Fredonia; and three sisters; Mrs. Anastacia Schaefer of Chilton, Mrs. Theodore Jacky of Malone, and Mrs. Isabelle Schmit of Francis Creek. A sister and two brothers also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Nickel's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vernon Jaberg, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Wildwood cemetery - Sheboygan Press – February 14, 1969.
