Ronnie Dell Brown Born: June 02, 1947 Died: May 31, 2014 Ronnie Dell Brown 66, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Leonard Harper, Church of Christ minister officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ronnie was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Boys Ranch in 1965. Ronnie served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. He served two Tours of Duty and received several Purple Hearts. After being honorably discharged in 1971, Ronnie went to work at the United States Postal Service. He worked as a window clerk. He also served as the Postal Union president for 8 years and was on the Postal Credit Union Board of Directors. He retired in 2003. Ronnie was very proud to have served his country. He was a loving father, PaPa, husband and brother. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Ronnie is survived by two sons, Jeremy Brown of Amarillo and Ronnie Brown of Carson City, Nev.; 1 daughter, Misty Manasco of Amarillo, his brother, Allen Brown of Tyler; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his two dogs Bridget and Hercules.
