Bio

Pearl Marie Hall, 92, of rural McAlester, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at her home in Shady Grove. Pearl was born on July 6, 1925, in Ulan, where she attended school. On Sept. 9, 1942, she married John. W. Hall in McAlester. She had been a lifelong resident of Pittsburg County and a 60 year resident of Shady Grove. She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, cooking and raising her six children. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Hall, and a daughter, Joyce Timmerman. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Parr as officiant. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
