Theodore Robert Grimm, 87, of Taylor died Friday, September 2, 2005 at SPJST Nursing Home in Taylor. Family visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, September, 4. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor with Rev. Walter Miller and Pastor Jennifer Fuhr officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Ted was born on January 25, 1918, in Bartlett, Texas, to Robert and Edna (Splittgerber) Grimm. On August 15, 1946, he married Ruth Marek at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett, Texas. He was a hardworking, life-long rancher who had a love for his cattle and animals. Ted was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and "Paw Paw." He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the local American Legion, and he enjoyed playing dominoes. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Herbert Grimm. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth Grimm; a son, Teddy Grimm, Jr. and wife, Debbie; a daughter, Joyce Harrison and husband, Ronnie, all of Taylor; two sisters, Leola Steglich and Irene Cox; one brother, Eugene Grimm; grandchildren, Sonya Olson and husband, Brian, Dustin Harrison, Heath, Heather, and Heidi Grimm; two great-granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ronnie Grimm, Bob Grimm, Leonard Steglich, Larry Cervenka, Rudy Kaspar, and Eldon Ball. Honorary pallbearers are J. P. Moldenhour, Roy Day, B. C. Carter, and H. E. Rowland. Memorials may be given to Johns Community Hospital, Asera Care Hospice, 1212 Palm Valley Boulevard, Round Rock, Texas, 78664, or to the charity of one's choice in Mr. Grimm's memory.
