Norman R Morris, age 69 of Winchester, Tennessee departed from this life suddenly on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at his home. Mr. Morris was a member of the Way of The Cross Baptist Church. He was a contractor for many years before retiring. He was a fisherman and was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, Marie Morris. He was preceded in death by his father, James Alex Morris; mother, Nellie M. Morris; brothers, A.J. Morris, Bill Morris, Dennis Morris and Buford Morris. Surviving are wife, Marie; son, Robbie Morris; daughter, Lisa (Charles) Clark of Winchester, TN; brothers, James Morris of Decherd, TN, Kenneth (JoAnn) Morris of Scottsboro, AL, Buck (Tammie) Morris of Winchester, TN and Truman (Nell) Morris of Palm Springs, CA; sisters, Leona Boanna of New Port, WA, Barbara (Marvin) Stubblefield of Elkmont, AL, Fannie (Charles) Bolden of Estill Springs, TN, Glinda Morris of Huntsville, AL, Linda (Mickey) Little of Madison, AL, Geneva (Johnny) Robinson of Dutton, AL and Amy Cox of Spring Hill, TN; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Rudy Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2014, and Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave. NW, Winchester.
