Obituary Victoria Advocate, The (TX) - March 9, 1999 Deceased Name: HERMAN BACA SR. FLATONIA -- Herman Baca Sr., 91, of Flatonia, died Sunday March 7, 1999. He was born April 7, 1907, in Flatonia, to the late John and Kathern Kurtz Baca. He was employed by Smith Farms of Flatonia and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors: daughters, Mary Branecky of Flatonia and Margaret Stavinoha of Wharton; sons, Herman A. Baca Jr., of Flatonia, Frank Baca of Seguin and Edwin Baca of Conroe; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife, Agnes Nickel Baca; daughter, Agnes Branecky; 10 sisters; and four brothers. Services will be 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, the Rev. Charles B. Carolan officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia. Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, 865-3311.
