Traer Star Clipper, Friday, May 19th, 1938 – page 13 Mrs. John Flidr, 69, sister of Mrs. F. J. Stodola and Lester Sebetka, of Clutier died Sunday at 12:30 a. m. at her home at 2600 Johnson avenue, Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Flidr suffered a paralytic stroke nearly a month ago on the same day on which Frank Stodola received severe injuries in an auto accident near Dysart. Mrs. Stodola, who is a nurse, had gone to Cedar Rapids to care for her sister when word of her husband's accident was received. Mrs. Flidr was born in Bohemia on October. 29, 1869. She came to America forty-nine years ago and had made her home at Cedar Rapids continuously since that time. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, all living in Cedar Rapids, and four grandchildren; also, by her stepmother, Mrs. Mary Sebetka, Clutier; six sisters, Mrs. John Vanous and Mrs. Charles Seda, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Frank Stodola, Clutier; Mrs. Joseph Melichar, Millard, Nebraska; Mrs. Joseph Kaspar and Mrs. Zavodsky, in Bohemia; and two brothers, Joseph Sebetka, of Toledo, late of Clutier, and Lester of Clutier. Another brother, Wencil, preceded her in death six years ago. Funeral and burial were Wednesday at Cedar Rapids.
