Joseph Albert Jiral of Kingsville, Texas, age 92, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 6, 1921 in Poth, Texas to Edward and Theresa (Schwertlich) Jiral. Mr. Jiral is preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Robinson Jiral; parents; sister, Lorene Jiral Grozier; brother, Ray Jiral. He is survived by sisters, Annabell Jiral Jasek and Evelyn Jiral Meuth, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Joe was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired from Celanese in Bishop, Texas. During his retirement years, Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing dominoes, and spending time with his friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a rosary being held at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Stembler officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 East General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas.
