(The Southern Star, August 8, 1967) MR. MARVIN HAISTEN PINCKARD – Mr. Marvin Haisten, 70, died in a Dothan Hospital Sunday afternoon following a short illness. Mr. Haisten, a native of Dale County for several years, was a resident of Pinckard and a member of the Pinckard Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon at Pinckard Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Wooten and Rev. Albert Hayes officiating. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directed burial in Newton cemetery. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Annie Kathryn Trawick, Newton, Mrs. Louise Enfinger, Hartford, Mrs. Voncile Whigham, Geneva, Mrs. Doris Enfinger, Pinckard, Mrs. Jo Ann Shelly, Dothan; three sons, Mr. Jack Haisten, Newton, Mr. Payton Haisten, Dothan, Mr. Marvin Haisten Jr., Sun Valley, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Williams, Montgomery; one brother, Mr. Morris Haisten, Brundidge; twenty three-grandchildren and nine great grand-children.
