Bio

1895, Grandparents Samuel and Mahala Evans and children Jane, George, Sid and Rub (James' father), Settled around Southmayd, Grayson County, Texas* 1900, George and brother Rub (James' father), bought adjoining farms in the community of Delba, Fannin County, Texas* Farmed in Texas, ran a café with Mary in Bonham, Texas The Family moved to Galt, California, in 1941 from Texas Worked two jobs in Lodi, California, then from 42' through 46', He worked for SECO milk (milk products, homogenized, condensed, etc.), built homes, built a service station/store with a trailer court behind, and keep 10 milking cows on his own property. Beyond 1948, they worked through Manteca, Merced, Visalia, Tulare (was paid not to grow cotton), Fresno, and settled later years in Chowchilla. James was a farmer, Dairy farmer, shop owner, built many homes and did a lot of yard work in later years. Roses--lots and lots of roses.
