Bio

Omer Neeley, 87, of Littlefield, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield. He was born March 1, 1910, at Honey Grove. He married Myrtle Handley on Dec. 16, 1928, at Wellington. They moved to the Spade community on Jan. 8, 1930, where he farmed until 1975. They moved to Littlefield in 1974. He joined Anton Primitive Baptist Church in 1935 and was ordained as a deacon of Littlefield Primitive Baptist Church in 1945. Survivors include his wife; one son, Omer J. of Littlefield; four sisters, Nell Wood of Muleshoe, Rhuia Norman of Wellington, Virginia Albright of Lubbock and Naomi Bradley of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
