Bio
ROYCE CARL WILCOX, age 90, a resident of Irving since 1950, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Dallas. Born July 26, 1923 in Pickton, Texas, he was the son of Forney Clayborne Wilcox and Mae Hitt Wilcox. On February 16, 1943, he married Bea Carter. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2012. He was co-owner of B&R Rental from 1959 to 1983 and a member of First Christian Church in Irving. Royce was also preceded in death by his four sisters, Letane, Princess, Dee and Jean. Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Stone and husband T.C. of Canton; son, Rolan Ree Wilcox and wife Dona of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico; grandsons, Jimmy Blotz and Darrin Blotz, both of North Richland Hills; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; sisters, Allene Davis of Pearly, Dell D'Lizarraga of Sulphur Springs and Glennis Kaczor of Mount Vernon; brother, Glenn Wilcox of Winnsboro; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service is 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 18 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
