Bio
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Shavlik, 44, were held Feb. 10 at the Methodist Church here with Dr. Richard Leach officiating. Burial was in the Bohemian National Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Kotrba Funeral Home. Agnes Pesek was born Jan. 15, 1924 to Joe and Mary Pesek. She married Joseph Shavlik Oct. 20, 1943. They moved to Gregory from the rural area in 1955. She died Feb. 7 at the local hospital where she was a patient since November. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the ZCBJ Lodge. Survivors include one son, Larry Lee, and one daughter, Sherri Shavlok, both of Spearfish; three sisters, Helen Maska of Colome, Anna Viktora of Fairfax and Mary Studevy of Denver; two brothers, Joe of Gregory and James of Tyndall.
