Bio
In December of 1805, Reuben Kemp remarried, Mr. Patsy Crofton. She was the widow of Joseph Crofton of Hardin County Ky. She had at least two daughters from that marriage, Nancy and Patsy. There may have been other children, no records have been found. Using the 1810 and 1820 census entrees for Reuben Kemp, we can narrow Patsy's age down within 10 years. Both years she was listed as 26 under 45. Which makes her born between 1775-1784. Apparently Patsy died between 1820-1830. It's very likely she is buried next to Reuben in Sheckels Cemetery. In 1805, Reuben signed a bond with Jacob McIntire for his step-daughter Nancy to marry. In 1820, he sent a note to the clerk of Hardin County giving his consent for the other step-daughter Patsy to marry Henry Hawkins. Reuben and Patsy's marriage produced two sons.
