The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebr.), November 12, 1964, p. 3, col. 3 Joseph T. Votava dies in Omaha Funeral service was conducted Tuesday at St. Margaret Mary's Church in Omaha for former U.S. Dist. Attorney Joseph T. Votava, 78, of 661 No. 57th, Omaha. Mr. Votava, who died Saturday at his home as the probable result of a heart attack, was a brother of Mrs. Julius Kuzel and Mrs. John C. Vitek of Schuyler. Born in Butler County Dec. 21 1885, Mr. Votava attended University of Nebraska Law School where he was graduated with honors in 1911. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was U.S. Dist. Attorney for Nebraska from 1935 until he resigned in 1953. Other survivors are his widow, the former Louise Dusatko whom he married Aug. 18, 1916, and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Knapp of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. J. B. Coffman of Arcadia, Calif.
