Bio

Harol Lidtke Harol Lidtke, 91, of Westbrook died Dec. 31, 1999, at Westbrook Hospital in Westbrook. Services were held Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in West brook with Rev. Sue Seiffert officiating. Special music was provided by Betty Rupp, organist, and Eunice Christensen, vocalist. Pallbearers were Lee Lidtke, Jim Beeck, Jon Beeck, Kevin Beeck, Kurt Beeck, Fred Legler, Alan Legler and Mark Lidtke. Honorary pallbearers were Sue Humphrey, Kathy Sinnamon, Julie McCrum, Bekki Erickson and Jackie Rowe. Interment was at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rosehill Township. Funeral arrangements were handled by Westbrook Funeral Home in Westbrook. Harol Lidtke was born Nov. 25, 1908, to Fred and Katie (Wildfeuer) Lidtke in Rosehill Township of Cottonwood County. H e was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulda. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1916 and, four years later , moved back to Rosehill Township where Harol attended country school. He finished seventh and eighth grades at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Fulda. In 1931, Harol married Pearl Uttech in Fulda. The couple farmed in Rosehill Township until retiring in 1973. Harol became a member of the Good Samaritan Center in West- brook in 1991. Harol was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulda until 1991 when he became a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. He was also a member of the Farmer’s Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, in 1988; an d a sister, Mildred. Survivors include his four children, Merna (Lyle) Beeck of Fulda; Dianne Legler of Dundee; Dennis (Mary) Lidtke of West-brook and David (Mary) Lidtke of Windom; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Lorean Nielsen of Fulda.
