Bio

Mary was the 13th child born to John Thomas Vestal and Miriam Catherine Tate Vestal on April 4, 1864 in Savoy, Fannin County, Texas. She died when she was only 15 years old on September 6, 1879. She is buried in Lindsey Springs Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas next to her parents. This cemetery is also known as Sears Chapel Cemetery and Doss Cemetery. It is now on private property located on FM 151 in Whitewright, Texas. The property owners are cordial about allowing visitors on their property to enter the cemetery. The cemetery is overgrown and in poor condition. Many of the markers have been damaged and some are almost impossible to read. It is fenced but the gate is not locked. The entrance to the property has the owner's business sign on the fence which reads Push Pull Power.
