Bio

Alva "Shorty" Richardson, 75, of Redland died Friday at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. Richardson was a retired pipefitter. He attended the Methodist Church and had lived in the Redland Community since 1977. Survivors include his wife, Jewell Richardson of the home; three sons, Bill of Hobart, Ind., James of Portage, Ind. and Terry of Valporaiso, Ind.; two daughters, Nancy Horn of Stillwater and Nell Lockwood of Redland; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were scheduled for 5 p.m. today at Nation Funeral Home Chapel in Idabel with Rick Farwell officiating. Interment will be in the Redland Cemetery under the direction of Nation Funeral Home of Idabel. *McCurtain Sunday Gazette Sunday, July 19, 1987
