Bio

Katherine H. Zetah was born on 29 October 1892 to John and Mary Budik Zetah, Sr., in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota. On 19 June 1911, Katherine H. married Frank H. Kodet, the son of Joseph F. and Theresa Swoboda Kodet, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn, Minnesota. Katherine and Frank farmed near Bechyn in Renville County, Minnesota. They had three sons, Clarence who never married, Leonard who married Florence Kankhe and later Rita Kankhe, and Francis Gordon who never married; and six daughters, Marcella who married John L. Frank and later Paul Cronin, Gladys who married Emil Wohnoutka, Marietta who married Joe (Albert) Jansen, Irene who married Joseph Ruhland, Lorraine who married Bernard Bartes, and Celestine who married William “Woody” Ahrens. Katherine H. Zetah Kodet died on 22 August 1966, in Renville County, Minnesota. A Requiem Mass was held in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn; Father Ralph Officiated. Katherine was buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota.
