Bio

Frank H. Kodet was born on 05 August 1886 to Joseph F. and Theresa Swoboda Kodet. Frank was their sixth child. Frank’s father, emigrated from Bohemia, and his mother was born in Wisconsin. On 19 June 1911, Frank H. Kodet married Katherine H. Zetah, the daughter of John and Mary Budik Zetah, Sr., in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn, Minnesota. Frank and Katherine farmed near Bechyn in Renville County, Minnesota. They had three sons, Clarence who never married, Leonard who married Florence Kankhe and later Rita Kankhe, and Francis Gordon who never married; and six daughters, Marcella who married John L. Frank and later Paul Cronin, Gladys who married Emil Wohnoutka, Marietta who married Joe (Albert) Jansen, Irene who married Joseph Ruhland, Lorraine who married Bernard Bartes, and Celestine who married William “Woody” Ahrens. Frank H. Kodet died on 14 May 1941, in Renville County, Minnesota. He was buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota.
