Fort Bend Herald, October 24, 2005: Funeral mass for Arnold Sury, 89, of Needville, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park; the Rev. James Ramsey will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Davis Chapel, 9302 Church Street, Needville with a rosary at 7 p.m. Arnold was born Oct. 24, 1915 in Needville to Henry J. and Francis Kulcak Sury. He passed away Oct. 21, 2005 in Needville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Francis Sury; and sister, Lydia VanZandt. Arnold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Georgia Ann Kovar Sury; daughters, Genevieve Nesvadba and her husband, John, Kathy Fojtik and her husband, C.D.; sons: Jimmy Sury and his wife, Margaret, Bobby Sury and his wife, Kathy, Thomas Sury and his wife, Lynn, Don Sury and his wife, Patricia, Jerome Sury and his wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Ann Bergen and husband, Chris, Rodney Sury, Lori Gaubatz, Craig Sury and wife, Gwynne, Jacque Beane and husband, Ryan, Jennifer Wray, Dana Maresh and husband, Derek, Gene Sury and wife, Erica, Aaron Fojtik and wife, Jennifer, Amy Slater and husband, Aaron, Michael Sury and wife, Tammy, Chris Sury and wife, Shelly, Jeremy Sury and wife, Kori, Chad Sury, and Cheryl Sury; sister, Elsie Vyvial. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers are Rodney Sury, Craig Sury, Gene Sury, Aaron Fojtik, Michael Sury, Chris Sury, Jeremy Sury, and Chad Sury. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Bergen, Ryan Beane, Derek Maresh, and Aaron Slater. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Arnold's name to the St. Michael's Building Fund, P.O. Box 95, Needville, Texas, 77461.
