Bio
Funeral services for Lydia Sury Vanzandt, 91, of Needville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. James Ramsey will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel. Lydia was born July 19, 1912 in Needville to Henry J. and Frances Kulcak Sury. She passed away Jan. 14, 2004 in Sugar Land. Lydia is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Sury; and brother-in-law, John Vyvial. She is survived by her husband, Guy Vanzandt of Needville; daughters, Susan Parsons and husband, Chuck, of Dublin, Patricia Willyard and husband, Al, of Dickinson; brother, Arnold Sury and wife, Georgia, of Needville; sister, Elsie Vyvial of Texas City; grandsons, Chris Parsons of Dublin and Lee Willyard and wife, Jolene, of Dickinson; two great-grandsons; along with other relatives and many friends. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made in memory of Lydia to St. Michael's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 95, Needville, TX 77461, or to the charity of your choice.
