Fremont Tribune (Fremont, Nebr.), August 1, 1987, p. A2, col. 2 OBITUARIES WAHOO – George E. Marshak, 86, of Ashland, and formerly of Abie, died Friday at Bethesda Care Center in Ashland. He was a retired postman. Mr. Marshak was born July 7, 1901, in Abie. He was a longtime resident of Omaha. He moved to Ashland in 1901 [ sic ]. He served in the Air Force during World War II. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Anne D. Svoboda of Omaha. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. The Rev. Christopher Barak will officiate. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. at the Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and for one hour before the funeral Monday. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Abie.
