Cleburne Times Review December 8, 1960 Blum Native Dies Tuesday Clarence Melvin Myers, 73, of 96 S. Robinson St., a native of Blum, died at his home tuesday. He was the son of B.E. and Frances (Lott) Myers and was married to Ida Ripley at Blum in 1906. He lived at Blum for 68 years before moving to Cleburne 5 years ago. He was a retired farmer. Survivors at his wife: a son, Melvin Myers of Hillsboro: three daughters, Mrs. R.D. Engledow, Mrs. Ruford French of Blum and Mrs. V.R. Lipscomb of Ft. Worth: a brother, H.E. Myers of Grapevine: a half brother, Cecil Myers of Dimmit: two sisters, Mrs. Ed Davis of Rule and Mrs. Henry Ripley of Blum: two half sisters, Mrs. A.L. Allen of Modesto, Ca. and Mrs. Bill Watkins of Cotton Wood: seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Crozier-Pearson Chapel with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery.
