Murray McMurray Haskell Eugene Vaughan was born March 31, 1958 at Gainesville, TX, the son of Haskell E.J. Vaughan and Frances Ann Holder Vaughan. He passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at his residence in Thackerville. A lifelong resident of the Gainesville/Thackerville area, Mr. Vaughan had been employed as an assembler for Weber Aircraft, Gainesville. He had a huge heart and loved helping people whether it was picking up hitchhikers or assisting those with car trouble. Mr. Vaughan liked working on cars and teaching kids how to fix things. An ordained minister, he also loved to read law books. Mr. Vaughan was baptized in the Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were his father; sister, Rebecca "Becky" Sue Vaughan-Springfield; and brother, Ronald Keith Vaughan. Survivors include his mother, Frances Vaughan of Thackerville; and brother, Roger Vaughan of Whitesboro, TX. Serving as casket bearers will be Lloyd Vaughan, Carl Vaughan, Richard Vaughan, Eric Vaughan, Bobby Caples and Jessie Rossie. Honorary bearers are Brad Ortega, George Holder, Hubert Holder and Melvin Vaughan.
