Alvin was born to Marshall Franklin Hemby(1897-1988) and Bertha Alice McGhee (1899-1992) He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Douglas Eugene Hemby(1921-1929). His sister was Betty Joyce Hemby Mixson(1933-2012). He is survived by 3 children, Barbara Sue Jones, Brian Franklin Hemby and Janice Irene Moffitt. Grandchildren Stephanie and Ted Sherrill, David, Paul & Robert Brabham, John & Amy Hemby.
