Bio

Passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Born in Omaha, NE to Jerry and Frances (Hostek) Pleskac on January 19, 1918. The family moved to Loma, NE in 1921. She graduated from Assumption High School. The following year she entered business college and remained in Omaha until November 1, 1942. At that time she moved to Salina, KS. Employed by the Army Signal Corps. On January 19, 1943 she married George S. Hotovy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salina. Following WWII they moved to Lincoln, NE where they remained until 1958. They had 3 children: Steven, Kathleen and Michael. In 1958, they moved to Dwight, NE where they lived for 42 years. Due to George's health, they moved back to Lincoln in July 2000. On September 4, 2000 George passed away. Lucile remained in Lincoln until 2006 and then moved to Omaha. She is survived by her 3 children; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She has one brother, Monsignor Myron Pleskac of the Lincoln Diocese. VISITATION will be Wednesday 12-9pm, Thursday 9am-9pm at funeral home and Friday 10-11am at church. Rosary will be Thursday at 7:30pm at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be Friday, December 20, 2013 at Dwight Assumption Catholic Church at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Dwight Assumption Cemetery, Monsignor Myron Pleskac officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to School Sisters of Christ The King.
