Bio

Rocco Campana Rites Tuesday Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday at 11 in St. Patrick church for Rocco J. Campana, 81, of 630 W. Quartz, who died Friday. A former Silver Bow County auditor, Mr. Campana was born in Butte, Nov. 1, 1889. He served as an auditor in 1916, operated the Campana Grocery Store from 1919 to 1935, and owned and operated the Parkway Bar on West Park Street until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of the Butte Elks Lodge for more than 50 years, was an active member of the Eagles Lodge, and a member of the Bartenders Union. Survivors include his wife Sadie and sister, Mrs. Clementine Hay, both of Butte. Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery. The Butte Inter-Mountain (MT), 30 May 1971
