Bio

Julietta Wilhelmina Lammers, died December 11, 2013 at Bethany Home, Minden, Nebraska. Julietta was born June 25, 1913, to Christian Ferdinand and Dorotha Fredericke (Klahn) Lammers in Franklin County, Nebraska. Juliette attended District No. 46 Rural School, Franklin County, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Minden, Nebraska. After her father passed away in 1936, Julietta cared for her mother until her mother's death in 1965. She moved to Minden, Nebraska and was employed at Bethany Home, Minden, Nebraska for 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Aid/Lutheran Women's Missionary League at her church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and journalism. Julietta is preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Lena Scharff, Bertha Fries, Anna Bower and Clara Nitzel and brothers, Jacob, Carl, Alfred, Roy, Willis Lee and William Lammers. Julietta is survived by: brothers, Ralph Lammers and his wife, Joanne of Arapahoe, Nebraska and Donald Lammers and his wife, JoAnn of Minden, Nebraska; 15 nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Services were Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Minden, Nebraska with the Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial was in the Upland Cemetery, Upland, Nebraska.
