Bio

Evelyn M. Whetstone, 67, of Columbus, formerly of St. Paul, died Saturday, April 24, 1999 at a Lincoln hospital. Mrs. Whetstone was born on May 6, 1931 at Elyria to Frank and Veronica Wadas. She graduated from St. Paul High School. She lived in St. Paul until 1954. She married Neil E. Whetstone on Oct. 30, 1954 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. They lived in Grand Island from 1954 to 1958, when they moved to Columbus. Mrs. Whetstone was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Don of Kearney, Jim of Lincoln and Mike of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Mary Santin of Palmer, Patti Muhlenkamp of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Sue German of Carroll, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Wadas of Lincoln and Ray Wadas of Johnstown, Color.; and three sisters, Florence Moraczewski and Tillie Schenck, both of St. Paul, and Agnes Kinser of Eugene, Ore.
