KEARNEY — Sheila Shaw, 54, of Ravenna died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ravenna Congregational Church with the Revs. Melissa Fletcher and Jeff Zinnel officiating. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements. She was born Oct. 23, 1959, in Loup City to Francis and Norma (Hughes) Fletcher. On Aug. 26, 1995, she married Bob Shaw in Omaha. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Sapphire of Ravenna; stepson, Zachary of Bellevue; mother, Norma of Ravenna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana and Bob Sears of Ainsworth, Roxie Fletcher of Ravenna and Syrie and Steve Vicary of Logan, Iowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Betty Fletcher of Colome, S.D., and Val and Rosalie Fletcher of Ainsworth; and host-daughter, Lee So-Hyun of South Korea. She was the last child born in her family. She was educated at Bloody Run rural school and graduated from Ravenna High School. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at St. John's nursing home in Kearney. She and Bob made their home in Mondamin, Iowa, and Missouri Valley, Iowa, where she worked at the hospital and nursing home. In 2002, they moved to Ravenna, where she worked as a caregiver. Sheila loved caring for people, bingo and her family. She was preceded in death by her father on Nov. 6, 2008, and a sister-in-law, Diane Fletcher.
