Father: Cornelius C. Siebert 1903-1974 Mother: Emma A. Epp 1903-1972 Baptized: 28 May 1944, by Abraham W. Friesen at the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, Nebraska. Married: 28 Mar 1947, to Mabel Marion Dick by Abraham W. Friesen at the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, Nebraska. Children: Steven Ray, Donald Wayne, Keith Alan, Joann Beth. Siblings: *.*, Elva May, Gladys Ruth. Raymond W. Siebert, age 87, of Henderson, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Henderson. He was born June 10, 1926 in rural Henderson to Cornelius and Emma (Epp) Siebert. He was united in marriage to Mable Dick on March 28, 1947. The union was blessed with four children, Steve, Don, Keith and JoAnn. Raymond farmed in the Henderson area until retirement. He was an active member of Bethesda Mennonite Church. He served on the Board of Directors for the REA for over 40 years. He also served on the Henderson Coop Board for many years. He enjoyed collecting farm toys and agricultural memorabilia. Left to mourn his loss is his wife Mable of Henderson; sons, Don Siebert and wife Chery of Henderson and Keith Siebert and wife Susanne of Canon City, Colo.; daughter, JoAnn and husband Mike Friesen of Henderson; daughter-in-law, Margie Siebert of Henderson. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and sister Elva Janzen of Henderson. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Steve and sister Gladys. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Bethesda Cemetery in Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Bethesda Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesday at Metz Mortuary in Henderson. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to MCC Canner or REACH International. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.metzmortuary.com.
