Bio
Marilyn J. Stevens was born March 9, 1933 in South Dakota to David and Alice Simons Murphy. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Bill Stevens October 3, 1980 in DuQuoin. Survivors include her husband; children, Sandy Brown of DuQuoin and Stan Zakinski of DuQuoin; and stepchildren, Barbara Serra of Marshall, Michigan and Mike Stevens of Murphysboro. Mrs. Stevens was a registered nurse. She was a member of the Hurst Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose in Carbondale. She died in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 51.
