Suggested edit: Lillian E. Kelly, 69, died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1989, at her residence. Born in Gillespie, she was the daughter the late William and Julia (Jones) Thompson. On July 5, 1950, in Pocahontas, Ark., she married James H. Kelly, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, August Varwig of Rochester, Minn., and David Kelly of Gillespie; a daughter, Barbara Roberts of Gillespie; six grand-children; and two great-grand-children. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today and services are 11 a.m. Friday at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. The Rev. Dennis Hill will officiate. Burial is in Gillespie City Cemetery.
