Herald Coaster, January 29, 1979: Funeral services for Mrs. A.G. (Geraldine) Starr, 68, of Sugar Land, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg, with the Rev. John Oliver officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Starr died Jan. 26 at her residence. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Autumn Hills Volunteers. She was also a worker in the American Cancer Society. Survivors include her husband, A.G. (Jack) Starr; one sister, Mrs. H.D. Lawrence of Kingsville; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. ******************************************************************************************** Fort Bend Mirror, January 31, 1979: Mrs. A.G. John Oliver officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband A.G. Starr of Sugar Land; a sister, Mrs. R.B. Lawrence of Kingsville; niece, Mrs. R.A. Shaw of Kingsville; and nephew, R.D. Lawrence of Alvin; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew; five great-great-nieces and nephews. She was a member of First Christian Church in Sugar Land and a member of the Sugar Land Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a volunteer worker at Autumn Hills Nursing Home and the American Cancer Society.
