Bio

Keith Joseph Halamik, age 56, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away late Monday afternoon, April 30, 2012 in Mesa. Private graveside service will be held at a later date. Keith was born August 16, 1955 in Waco, the son of Joe Johnny and Patsy Ann (Straten) Halamik. He attended schools in Tours and West before graduating from West High School in 1973. He then entered the United States Marine Corps. Upon his return he worked for several companies in Arizona. Currently he worked for Modern Industries as an Aerospace Inspector. Keith enjoyed mountain biking, bicycling, and camping in the mountains. He had a great passion for the Arizona DiamondBack baseball team. Keith received the most joy spending time with his grandchildren. Keith is preceded in death by his father, Joe Johnny Halamik. Survivors include his mother, Patsy Halamik of West; his wife, Mary Jane Halamik of Mesa, AZ; a daughter, Tina Gutierrez and husband Dennis of Mesa, AZ; three brothers, Mark A. Halamik and wife Linda of Elm Mott, Joseph Halamik and Patrick Halamik and wife Vonceen, all of West; two sisters, Vivian Tekell and husband Lynn of West and Elaine Rog and husband Slawomir of Bluntsville, TN; a sister-in-law, Grace Guerra and husband Art of AZ; three grandchildren, Alyssia, Alyana, and Gabriel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin's Cemetery Association.
