Mass of Christian burial for Clara Tharnish, age 104, of Creighton was Friday, November 30, 2018 at St Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Reverend Jeremy Harris was the Celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Cemetery. Clara died Monday November 26 at Avera Creighton Care Centre. Clara Tharnish, daughter of Joseph and Anna Scharf Zila, was born August 24, 1914 at Pierce, Nebraska. She attended country school near the family home and graduated from Winnetoon High School. Clara was united in marriage to Joseph Tharnish at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. They were blessed with nine children. Clara lived in the Creighton area. The family moved into Winnetoon in later years. A devoted mother, Clara is survived by eight children, 16 grandchildren, one step grandchild, 32 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, 5 step great great grandchildren and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, daughter, Janice Kruse, two sons-in-law, Don Kruse and Glenn Good, grandson, David Soukup, two sisters and five brothers. ...Brockhaus Funeral Home
